Home Energy Assessment

Learn how your home uses energy, and what you can do to make it more efficient and comfortable with a Home Energy Assessment.

In 2-3 hours, an approved partner will look at insulation levels, air leakage, and mechanical systems from attic to basement—assigning your home an EnerGuide energy performance score and custom report of prioritized upgrades.

Take advantage of up to $5,000 in home energy rebates to complete these upgrades, and enjoy your energy efficient home. This program is open to homes in Nova Scotia that are at least 6 months old. Read the full home and product eligibility guidelines. Thinking about a new heat pump? Ensure you refer to the heat pump eligibility lists before installing.

Participation in the Home Energy Assessment program or New Home Construction program precludes homeowners from receiving rebates for the same upgrades in other Efficiency Nova Scotia programs. Only rebates from one program will be issued for any particular measure. Rebates are not available for the replacement of existing heat pumps – functioning or non-functioning.
